We are looking for a Newbuild Solar PV Designer and Estimatorto join our growing Renewables team. You'll play a key role in working within our Newbuild Solar PV design and estimating team. The ideal candidate will deliver PV designs, panel layouts and schematics based upon the clients' requirements enabling accurate quotation and sales orders to be produced.

As part of a company with around 200 employees across 12 locations, you'll enjoy the stability of a well-established organisation alongside the collaborative feel of a close-knit team.

What you'll do:

Designs to enable quotation

Identify customer requirements and obtain any missing information required to produce a quotation. Design PV configurations that achieve the client's requirements. Work with Business Development Managers to manage the delivery of designs in line with client's timescales. Engage with clients to identify solutions that enable us to meet their requirement. Capture and document configurations to enable estimating and quote production. Keep designs stored securely and in line with internal requirements.

Complete quotations

Utilising information from designs, operational and technical understanding, deliver a quotation using estimating tools that can be submitted to the relevant clients Business Development Manager. Update and maintain all internal CRM systems and documentation.

Drawing Packs

Create drawing packs (house type configurations, site layout plans, electrical schematics) based upon designs that are for use by both internal and external client. Deliver any additional drawing or designs required by the business to secure new orders.

What you'll bring:

You must be proficient in AutoCAD ideally with at least 1 years' experience of practical use (not mandatory) and will ensure a high quality of delivery when producing or updating CAD drawings to internal and/or customer standards.

Must have a good working knowledge of excel and be proficient in the other MS Office applications.

Must be able to handle customer conversations using telephone and email.

A good eye for detail, neat and tidy with good housekeeping skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
