Our
Junior Engineer
position is for someone who will ensure the smooth operation of the WDS Basildon sorter by performing preventative maintenance, responding to emergency repairs, and supporting the lead engineer. Basildon features a unique parcel over-labeller/sorter system, and this role is critical to keeping it running efficiently.What You'll Be Accountable For
Performing
preventative maintenance
on the sorter and associated systems Responding toemergency repairs
to minimise downtimeLiaising with and reporting to the lead engineer
on system performance and issuesTroubleshooting
unlabelled parcels and dump chute parcels Collaborating withOperations Managers and Supervisors
to ensure smooth workflowWhat You'll Need to Succeed
Qualifications:
Engineering-related qualification preferred
Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum
1 year of practical engineering experience
Previous experience withparcel sorter systems
is highly desirableTechnical & People Skills:
Strong
hands-on engineering skills
Ability to give and receiveclear, constructive feedback
