Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Estimator/Estimator/Senior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will ideally have a construction estimating background preferably within the roofing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work. Evaluating project cost requirements and preparing accurate project cost estimates. Collaborate with architects, building surveyors, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and end users to gather essential project information. Conduct site visits and assess risks and variables that may impact pricing. Solicit and analyse quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Present estimates in a clear and organized format to internal teams and/or clients. Monitor actual project costs vs. estimated costs and report variances. Maintain and update a database of cost information for use in future estimates. Stay updated on industry trends, market pricing, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience working as an estimator in construction preferably in the roofing industry. Proficient in using estimating software. Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Pay: 30,000.00-60,000.00 per year
