SUMMARY:
The technician should have a broad audio visual skill set and have experience operating and supporting video conferencing platforms, digital audio mixers, wireless microphone management, hardware video switchers and lighting consoles. In addition to equipment operation, technicians will be required to effectively communicate with presenters and interact with event stakeholders. Technicians will also be expected to undertake day-to-day administrative tasks as well as documenting audiovisual systems, creating user-guides, and updating computer resources and hardware.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operating virtual event platforms based on technical ROS requirements
Proficient in the use of Keynote, Google Slides and PowerPoint
Live video source switching between pre-recorded material and live presenters
Onboarding and management of remote presenter end-points
Troubleshooting audio, video, lighting and streaming issues
Setting up redundancy and backup systems in line with contingency workflow protocol
Quality control of creative assets before events
Configuring and organising creative presentation assets
Clear, consistent and professional communication
Great customer service skills. Coordination of internal and external VIP presenters before, during, and after the event
Diligent event documentation on centralised ticketing system (Jira) with event details, customer communications and creative assets.
Writing documentation and user guides for AV systems and processes
Operation of PTZ cameras
Operation of the lighting control system
Live audio mixing and signal on hardware audio mixers
Inventory Management and quality control of portable audio-visual equipment
Other duties as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Good knowledge of audio and video signal flow
Experience working in live events or broadcast environments
Effective communicator with the ability to work within a team and converse with internal and external speakers at an executive level
Able to be flexible with crew role to suit individual event requirements
Experience using GSuite
Proficient in both macOS and Microsoft Windows operating systems
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1+ years of technical production experience in a live event or corporate environment
