Job Description

An opportunity to join our creative design department has arisen. We're seeking a proactive, driven and innovative Junior Graphic Designer with Adobe creation and editing skills to work with our Creative Director at our growing, multifaceted company.

Mavam Technical Services / NullMedia are part of Mavam Group - an eclectic organisation incorporating companies with interests in media, broadcast, mental health support services, supported housing, and estate management.

The candidate must have professional graphic design training and be adaptable and collaborative to ensure the success of design projects. The position is office-based, and the candidate must be able to drive.

Overview of the Junior Graphic Designer role:



37.5 hours per week (office-based) (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)



23,809.50 - 25,759.50 Per Annum



Reporting to: Creative Director



The role:

Graphic design creation



Under the direction of the Creative Director, create graphic and video content to support online releases and campaigns on our websites, email, and social media platforms. Develop visually appealing and effective executions for various print and digital campaigns. Produce designs that align with the brand identity and brief objectives. Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure final designs meet established standards and specifications.

Software proficiency



Stay up to date on industry trends and design tools. Prepare files for printing and work with printing suppliers to ensure the quality of the final product.

Conceptualisation



Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and concepts for design projects. Demonstrate problem-solving skills when faced with design challenges.

File and time management



Organise and manage design files to ensure efficient workflow and easy access for team members. Upload images and videos to the central Asset Bank system, ensuring license details and tags are recorded correctly Meet project deadlines and manage time effectively to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Feedback incorporation



Accept constructive feedback and revise designs as necessary.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications



Demonstrable ability in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects. A good understanding of graphic, layout and web design principles. Excellent organisational and time management skills, comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ability to see a campaign through from brief to realisation. Great attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A team player with the ability to build strong working relationships. Ability to take direction and work independently. Willingness and ability to learn new skills and adapt to evolving design trends and technologies.

Qualifications Needed



A strong portfolio showcasing design skills and projects. Knowledge of design trends and principles. 1-2 years of relevant experience in a design role.
