ABOUT THIS ROLE





Reporting to the Head of Sales - Premium & Travel Retail, the Junior Key Account Manager will support the Premium and Travel Retail sales team in driving business growth in collaboration with key strategic partners across the UK. and Ireland. As the Junior Key Account Manager's responsibilities develop, you will have direct responsibility for the management of some customers within the ghd Customer portfolio.



You will gain a deep understanding of the UK and Ireland retail dynamics, enabling ghd to develop strong relationships and implement strategy to increase UK key partner's sales in-line with the overall business objectives.



Partnering with logistics and the UK commercial and marketing teams, you'll help bring best-in-class activations to life--through branches, pop-ups, eventing and online.


The Junior Key Account Manager will play a key role in delivering, executing, and achieving the Premium and Travel Retail objective which is to execute with excellence and lead best in class examples as a flagship market to deliver solid revenue sales.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Responsible for weekly and ad-hoc reporting Analyse sales data, stock holdings, sell out performance and all relevant set of data to drive strategic business proposals Undertaking stock holding reviews, making assortment recommendations and ensuring supply of stock to maximise trading opportunities Work with Demand Planning to create accurate forecasts on a monthly basis Assist the KAM in delivering set business targets Maximise sales opportunities and be aware of competitor activities and promotions, category sales and commercial and operational targets Develop relationships and work collaboratively with: (Internal) - KAMs and Head of Premium Retail, Marketing, UK Finance, Credit control team and Supply Chain team (External) - Merchandising, Management and Buying Teams within each Key Account Identify business opportunities to increase brand visibility and presence and in turn drive sales Support in defining budgets, targets and strategy for partners according to annual targets, market trends, launches/promotions & competitors' activities Arrange Strategy Meetings to present NPD as well as monthly meetings with accounts Joint Business Planning support: Negotiate the successful execution of the sales, marketing and educational plan in conjunction with the KAM with each account Collate consistent and accurate data and statistics working with the Commercial Finance Analyst and the wider teams internally and externally across all our locations to ensure an efficient process Produce meaningful and accurate reports, analysis of KPIs from sales data Prepare reports, presentations, management information and correspondence on a regular basis Report on all relevant competitor sales and marketing activity Negotiate prime positioning and activity in all targeted accounts within the stores as well as marketing activities Uphold the high standards of integrity for both the brand and the company in all areas of operation of the sales function Attend Monthly UK Sales and Marketing meetings - presenting Retail partner performance and collaborating on strategic development on the UK business Achieve all targets as set and agreed in consultation with the UK MD and Head of Premium Retail Responsible and accountable for the performance of the UK Premium Retail and Travel Partner business - in line Foster a culture of creativity and excellence Role model and champion the 5Cs framework, be Collaborative, Creative, Courageous, Connected, Committed

REQUIREMENTS



Experience in a buying office would be advantageous but not a requirement Experience of building reports, managing, and interpreting data and providing analysis and commentary to draw out key issues and themes Experience of influencing and negotiating with teams at all levels Be sales driven and commercially aware of the beauty/ fashion market and trends Instinctive commercial flair to drive decisions that improve KPIs and performance. Demonstrate ownership and accountability, can give examples of taking measured risks to achieve results Enthusiastic, energetic outgoing, with a positive 'can do' attitude, determined to win and a passion for customers and all things digital Act with transparency and integrity Create a climate of inclusion and diversity Actively live and breathe the ghd brand UK based with the ability to travel to UK/ROI without restrictions
