KJM Civils is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor at entry level or early career with experience in civil engineering projects to manage the costs and contracts associated with residential, commercial and industrial developments. The ideal candidate will ensure that construction costs and production are managed efficiently while achieving high-quality project delivery within budge.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to some of the most exciting developments in the region.
Key Resposibilites:
Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents
Help monitor project costs and maintain cost control records
Support in valuing completed work and arranging payments
Contribute to the preparation of contract variations and final accounts
Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and team members
Learn to forecast cash flow and report on financial aspects of projects
Aid in identifying potential risks and opportunities in contracts
Liaise with site engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure cost-effective construction
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
Knowledge of measurement and cost control principles
Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Willingness to learn and grow professionally
