Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in the management of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food production and safety. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while fostering a positive and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards. Help in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas to enhance offerings. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and presented beautifully. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health regulations.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Demonstrated ability in team management and supervising kitchen staff effectively. Experience in food production with an emphasis on quality control. A passion for culinary arts and creativity in menu design is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
