We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our Brigade The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in hospitality. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supervising kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and assisting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in the overall management of the kitchen, including menu planning and food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative dishes that reflect current trends.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.
Experience
Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
Experience in supervising staff and leading a team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A passion for cooking and an eagerness to contribute creatively to menu development.
