Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a clear and robust knowledge of food production and preparation, and will be looking to progress in their career. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sous and Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food service, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

Assist the Sous and Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Provide exceptional service to guests by ensuring timely food delivery and presentation.

Experience

Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is desirable bot not essential as training can be given. Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and guests. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable. Pay: 10.00-13.50 per hour
