Job Title: Junior Sous Chef

We're looking for a talented and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Cowshed. As a Junior Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in supporting our culinary operations, ensuring high-quality dishes, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking menu items, including steaks and other dishes to exacting standards.
2. Kitchen Operations: Support the Sous Chef and other Junior Sous Chef in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
3. Quality Control: Ensure all dishes meet our high standards of quality, presentation, and flavor.
4. Inventory Management: Assist in ordering supplies, receiving stock, and rotating products.
5. Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive team dynamic.
6. Menu Development: Contribute to menu development and innovation, suggesting new ideas and techniques.
7. Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Requirements:
1. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a steakhouse or similar settings cooking steaks to a high standard.
3. Skills: Strong knife skills, cooking techniques, and attention to detail.
4. Team Player: Ability to work well under pressure, take direction, and collaborate with others.
5. Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
