Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food production.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety standards and best practices.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, maintaining consistency in presentation and flavour.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, complying with health regulations.
Handle any issues that arise during service, maintaining a calm and efficient environment.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing teams effectively.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for hospitality and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry is highly desirable.
