Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a kitchen environment. This role would suit a CDP or senior CDP looking for their next step in their career. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen operation, team management, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the success of our hotel.

Responsibilities and Duties

Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing staff. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality dishes are served. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering as needed. Ensure food safety protocols are followed to ensure the highest standards of hygiene. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu ideas. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in within a kitchen environment at a CDP level or above is essential. Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques. Proven experience in a kitchen operations. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
