As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily operation of our kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate served. Your creativity and culinary skills will contribute to the development of new menu items and the overall success of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to the restaurant's standards.
Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and development.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar role.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity and passion for food.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications.
