Thomas Harwood and Son, are part of EFS Global which is a fast-growing Logistics group with over 30 depots throughout the UK. We are currently recruiting for Transport Planner, to join our experienced team. Thomas Harwood is a first class provider of UK Distribution and Temporary Storage services based in Bolton for more than 90 years.

The Junior Transport Planner is a key member of the transport team providing support with all aspects of day to day transport administration, learning the role as Planner.

As the Junior Transport Planner you will be responsible for:

Managing, briefing and de-briefing all drivers. Booking in Customer deliveries and collections Allocating all POD's to the TMS system Assist the Transport Planners in finding outward & inward loads Preparing and sorting all driver paperwork and processing/uploading customer paperwork to systems Answering the phones and customer queries in a timely manner
Essential Skills Required

Previous experience of working in a transport environment desirable Excellent organisational skill Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Be able to work to deadlines Work as part of a team, but also on own initiative Working systems knowledge of Microsoft, excel, word and outlook

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm.

Salary: Starting at 28,000.00
