The Junior User Interface (UI) Designer is responsible for creating compelling, innovative design solutions that demonstrate the power and value of rich client, web-based product experiences. The Junior User Interface (UI) Designer is responsible for collaborating with Technology and Product to conceptualize, design, and prototype innovative, highly usable applications, including UI design patterns and frameworks for next-generation analytics applications. The Junior User Interface (UI) Designer will collaborate with their team in the development of highly interactive prototypes to demonstrate the product vision. There will be a need for close coordination with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the designs can be adopted and extended across product suites.
Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas that enhance the usability and accessibility of our product suite
Maintain consistency in design through adherence to brand guidelines and design systems
Partner closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to generate innovative concepts
Collaborate closely with UX designers, and developers to integrate visual design seamlessly into product experiences
Stay current on the latest UX design trends and technologies, influencing the future of user experience
Champion design best practices and establish new patterns, contributing to a design system that ensures scalability across our product suite
Advocate for the user with user-centered, empathetic design strategies.
Clearly communicate design decisions to peers and key stakeholders.
Participate in Agile Scrum Process to quickly iterate through designs and gain approvals from key stakeholders.
Support on user research and usability testing and incorporate feedback to refine designs.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design , Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Mural
Experience in creating both low- and high-fidelity wireframes (from sketching to interactive prototypes)
Knowledge of user-centred design processes and methodologies
Solid understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles
Strong communication skills and ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
Preferred:
Experience working on a B2B application and/or with SaaS solutions.
Familiarity with responsive design and WCAG accessibility standards
Portfolio showcasing UI design work (personal or academic projects welcome)
Knowledge of best practices in data visualisation
Basic understanding of frontend development (HTML or CSS)
