Mosaic Political Risk's team is looking for a Junior Underwriter Trainee to join us in London to support our work on political risk placements.

Responsibilities

Learning underwriting procedures, policies & processes Learning commercial strategy Ensuring new and renewal business is effectively and accurately processed, including setting of risk entries and reinsurance arrangements, maintaining computer and manual records Monitoring statistics, aggregates, and claims and reporting Monitoring credit control Providing general administrative support Providing management information reports for underwriters, as required Ensuring compliance with and maintenance of syndicate systems

Skills, Experience and Education

2 A-Levels (or equivalent) GCSEs--English and Maths grade C or above Undergraduate degree preferred Use of software programs, particularly Excel Experience with insurance sector preferred Detail-oriented Excellent verbal and written skills Ability to liaise at all levels and be approachable Good organizational skills and management aptitude Hard-working and committed
