Banbury Boarding Kennels and Cattery are seeking a full time Kennel and Cattery Assistant.

Job Summary

This position requires you to carry out the daily care of the animals, which includes exercising, cleaning, enrichment, administering medications, brushing, ensuring adequate access to feed and water, monitoring the kennel and cattery environment and making sure all our boarders are happy, healthy and comfortable. The role also requires the candidate to deal with customers both over the phone and face to face taking bookings and dealing with enquiries.

The right candidate needs to be enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable, have common sense and a willingness to learn. You must have good communication skills, be comfortable around dogs and cats and have a genuine passion for animal care. We are seeking a candidate who can work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday on a permanent 40 hour contract. (Hours of work 7.30am-5pm) (Lunch break 12-1.30pm and various coffee breaks in the day)

Although this is an extremely enjoyable job, candidates must remember that the job is a physical one so should have a reasonable level of fitness.

We are ideally looking for an experienced candidate who has worked in a kennel/cattery environment or similar such as a livery yard etc. All candidates must have a driving licence and car as we are located just outside a rural village with no public transport. We are located just outside the village of Farnborough near Banbury.
