We are looking for a permanent, full time member of staff to join the team here at Amberlea Country Kennels and Cattery.
The applicant must have at least 2 years experience of working in a boarding kennels and cattery. Applicants without the right experience will not be considered. Working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments is part of the role, so you must be confident in handling all types of dog, as well as cats.
Customer service is an essential part of the role, so good communication and good phone skills will be needed. Making bookings and dealing with payments is another aspect of the job, so the candidate must be computer literate.
Being able to work as part of a team and also independently is important, and a person who is forward thinking and works to their own initiative will fit this role well.
The working day is generally from 8:30am until 4:30pm, 4 to 6 days a week depending on the business needs. Weekend and Bank Holiday work (including Christmas) is required as standard and holidays are limited to our less busy periods.
Salary starts at minimum wage for your age. You will start work on a 6 month probation period.
Due to our location it is important that you have your own transport or live locally (biking distance).
