At Home on the Farm Luxury Dog Boarding, we provide a stimulating, caring, and secure environment for every dog that stays with us. Set in beautiful countryside, our small, friendly team takes pride in delivering exceptional care, comfort, and attention to detail for all our guests.
We're now looking for a dedicated and reliable
Kennel Assistant
to join us on a
part-time, zero-hours basis
-- ideal for someone who loves dogs, enjoys hands-on work, isn't afraid of getting muddy and doesn't mind being outdoors in all weathers.
Your Responsibilities
Feeding, exercising, and caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes
Cleaning our sleeping, communal and play areas to a high standard
Assisting with arrivals and departures of dogs
Monitoring each dog's wellbeing and reporting any concerns
Helping maintain a safe, happy, and hygienic environment
Supporting the team with general daily duties around the business
What We're Looking For
A genuine love of dogs and confidence handling them
Reliable, punctual, and happy to work flexibly (including some weekends and holidays)
Good attention to detail and high hygiene standards
Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and performing physical tasks
Friendly, calm, and comfortable working mostly independently but also as part of a team
Experience working with dogs or in animal care is highly desirable but not essential - training provided
Hours of Work
Usual shifts are
mornings (8am-12pm)
or
afternoons (3pm-6pm)
, with some weekend and holiday cover required.
Requirements
Applicants must be
over 18 years old
A
full UK driving licence
and
own transport
are essential due to our rural location
