Are you passionate about animal care and looking for a rewarding role supporting frontline policing? Nottinghamshire Police is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Kennel Person to join our professional team responsible for the care and welfare of our working police dogs.
This is a physically demanding role that requires resilience, initiative, and the ability to work independently. You'll play a vital part in maintaining the health, hygiene, and wellbeing of our canine colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Daily care and husbandry of police dogs, including feeding, cleaning, and exercising
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in kennel areas
Monitoring dog health and reporting concerns to handlers or veterinary staff
Supporting operational readiness of the Dog Section
What We're Looking For
A genuine interest in animal welfare
Ability to work independently and problem-solve
Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, manual work
Flexible and reliable, with a strong team ethic
