Due to growth, we are currently looking to recruit for 2 x Application Engineers on a full-time, permanent basis based in Aberdeen (North & South).
Working within the sales team, this position is responsible for managing and nurturing key accounts through pro-active account management.
Responsibilities
Accountable for results and achievements for specified regional sales.
Set up and manage all Business Development activities in your region.
Increase the number of enquiries / bids submitted by the company.
Manage existing accounts and expand our product & service offering.
Ensure that all sales opportunities are fully captured and fully explored.
Build, manage and maintain a substantial pipeline and ensure that all pipeline activity is accurately documented and kept up-to-date in SAP B1.
Effectively manage all clients by providing timely responses and exceptional levels of service to all enquiries.
Thoroughly research and understand Key Accounts, understanding their products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives, overall business requirements and to advise clients accordingly on the products and services required to meet these.
Adapt, manage and prioritise effectively based upon changing priorities for self and team.
Prepare and deliver presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict a clients' future needs.
Meet sales/business development objectives.
Build strategic business development plans for the data division including developing marketing materials for campaigns, conferences and web-site content.
Grow spend with existing customers, fostering strong relationships by regular attendance at relevant networking events, site meetings and general account management.
Seek and develop new customers and markets.
Evaluate Sales activities and monitor effectiveness.
Prepare and issue monthly report to required stakeholders.
Qualifications
Extensive industry experience and network with a proven successful track record in related product and client base.
Previous experience of managing client accounts.
Experienced in key account management with an understanding of the key principles behind segmentation.
Experience of software systems reporting and associated productivity tools (SAP B1 preferred).
Self-driven with thorough attention to detail.
Flexible with a determined and ambitious approach to Sales.
Ability to display agility in daily work and a positive attitude to all aspects of the role.
Self-starter and at ease in a team environment.
Must demonstrate personal values that are aligned with Swagelok Company Values.
Good knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Driving Licence (preferably clean).
