We are looking for a commercially minded and results-driven Key Account Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing a diverse range of retail accounts with a strong track record of driving sales, building lasting relationships, and identifying growth opportunities. You will bring excellent communication and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of sales performance metrics, and a proactive, strategic approach to wholesale account management.


Based at our Brighton HQ, you will report to the Head of Sales and work collaboratively with teams across Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations to support the broader commercial strategy. You will be responsible for growing and nurturing key wholesale partnerships, leading seasonal sell-ins, forecasting sales, and conducting detailed performance reviews. WHAT YOU'LL DO:



Account Management & Sales Growth



Own and grow a portfolio of strategic wholesale and marketplace accounts across domestic and international markets. Lead seasonal sell-in and manage the end-to-end sales cycle, ensuring alignment with financial targets and brand objectives. Tailor account strategies to reflect unique business models, from full-price retail partners to digital marketplaces. Build strong relationships with buyer contacts, developing joint business plans and promotional calendars.

Product & Planning Strategy



Drive the product and assortment strategy for each account, ensuring relevance to consumer needs and retail positioning. Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to deliver account-specific assortments, margin targets, and sell-through goals. Input into seasonal product development by sharing customer insights, market trends, and competitor activity. Lead on accurate forecasting, stock allocation, and replenishment strategies across wholesale and digital marketplaces. Monitor product performance by style, category, and region to inform future range and pricing decisions.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence



Serve as the commercial lead for key account discussions, bringing a data-driven approach to decision-making. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning, developing a high performing team. Act as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for account needs and opportunities within strategic planning conversations.

Compliance, Governance & Operational Excellence



Ensure adherence to wholesale terms, trading agreements, pricing structures, and markdown protocols. Uphold all brand and operational compliance standards across partner environments, including online marketplaces. Maintain data integrity and compliance with legal requirements including GDPR and commercial terms. Work with Finance and Operations to monitor credit limits, ensure timely payments, and troubleshoot order fulfilment or invoicing issues. Maintain a structured, transparent approach to account documentation and reporting.

Reporting & Market Intelligence



Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights on account performance, profitability, and risk. Track marketplace KPIs including conversion rates, return rates, and digital merchandising quality. Monitor competitive landscape and evolving marketplace standards to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:



Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion, Marketing, or related field. 5+ years of experience in a wholesale or account management role within fashion retail. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key retail partnerships. Strong understanding of the fashion wholesale market and retail distribution channels. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant ERP/CRM systems. Ability to travel as required for account meetings, store visits, and trade shows. Existing network of retail buyers and department store contacts.

BONUS IF YOU:



Have experience with international markets. Have experience with Distributors. Have familiarity with both luxury and contemporary fashion sectors or Toy sector. Have marketplace experience. Have an interest in alternative fashion.

WORK HOURS & LOCATION:




Here at KILLSTAR, we support a hybrid working model. This means you will join us on site for three days a week at our HQ in Brighton. The other 2 days can be spent working from wherever you choose, either on-site, remotely or from home.


This role is a full-time position of 37.5 hours, with hours worked between 08:00am - 06:00pm, Monday through to Friday.
