Summary
The Key Accounts Lead reports to the Head of Key Accounts and should manage and grow relationships with key strategic clients within the fire and security sector. This includes ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities and delivering consistent revenue growth from major accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Regularly discuss progress with Head of Key Accounts (HKA) and assist HKA to deliver wider key account goals.
Maintain and develop strong, long-term relationships and key clients in commercial, industrial, and public sector markets.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within existing accounts, including upgrades, service contracts, and system integrations.
Work with internal tech teams, engineers, and service teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and service level agreement (SLAs) with key clients to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
Manage renewals of service and maintenance contracts, addressing any client concerns proactively.
Keep abreast competitor activity and industry developments to identify new opportunities and risks within accounts.
Maintain accurate records and provide regular sales forecasting and performance updates to the Head of Key Accounts.

Revenue growth within key accounts.
Customer satisfaction and retention rates.
Number of upsells/cross-sells.
Contract renewal rate.
On-time project delivery.
CRM data accuracy and usage.
To be continually reviewed as necessary.
Skills
Proven experience in key account management or business development.
A strong personal knowledge of fire alarms, intruder detection, CCTV, and access control systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and system specifications.
Comfortable with working to KPI's and revenue targets.
Understanding of compliance standards such as BS5839, NSI, BAFE.
