Purpose of the role
To grow sales within targeted accounts, primarily but not limited to O.E.M. and mixed-use residential sectors by servicing existing customers, expanding product scope, and building strong relationships.
You will provide dedicated support to these accounts to ensure we maximise every opportunity to retain and increase sales through specification, pricing and product support, delivering a best-in-class service. Your role supports strategic sales initiatives, market intelligence gathering, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance customer satisfaction and market share.
Key responsibilities
Together with the A.I. & O.E.M. Channel Director and Technical Sales Manager, identify opportunities and gaps within existing customers and wider market to increase share--whether that be pricing, product, specification, or service-led.
Work with the account ASM to grow sales in targeted and key accounts.
Ensure we have the best possible relationships with key accounts--we should be their first point of contact. Our aim is to be their first and last call.
Stay close to the market. Be aware of the latest market rates and products, to feed this back to the business.
Manage enquiries and sales leads, provide product and project support, including scheduling, and coordinate with relevant teams for quotations and order processing.
Gather and provide forecasting information to support smooth delivery of orders and quality S&OP data.
Demonstrate excellent product knowledge, standards, and legislation and communicate this confidently with customers.
Promote new and ASSA ABLOY group products.
Strong communication with internal teams to ensure we deliver customer service excellence internally and externally.
Skills, competencies, qualifications and personal experience
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to interpret and apply industry legislation and standards.
Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams.
Sales-driven with a proactive approach to business development.
Ideally a minimum 5 years' experience in our industry.
Experience and demonstrable knowledge of the wider market we trade in is desirable and will enable successful results in this role.
Demonstrable product knowledge and experience.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Dip GAI qualified is desirable.
