Boundstone Nursery is a large maintained Nursery School which supports children and families in the Lancing Area of West Sussex; we are an important part of the community and pride ourselves in knowing each child as an individual. We are a fully inclusive Nursery and as part of our provision we have a Special Support Centre which supports children with Speech and Language disorders.

Boundstone Nursery School is seeking to appoint a high quality, compassionate and committed Key Carer to join our Outstanding team. We have a successful track record of supporting and developing staff to make sure they gain the skills and experience necessary to enable our young children to achieve great things. We are looking for a Key Carer who is an enthusiastic, motivated and committed team member in Boundstone Nursery School. To assist the Teacher / Head of school in the provision of high-quality childcare. To plan and provide an inclusive, caring and stimulating environment with exciting play opportunities that meet all children's developmental needs and stimulates their learning. To support the teacher in charge of the SSC with the care of children with additional speech and language needs on a daily basis.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need: o NVQ Level 3 or above in Early Years Childcare and Education or similar o Excellent working knowledge and understanding of the key principles of child development and the Early Years Foundations Stage (EYFS) o An understanding of the Special Educational Needs (SEND) Code of Practice and the provision of an inclusive environment o Relevant organisational skills o Knowledge and understanding of key carer systems and effective record keeping o The ability to organise/prioritise work and co-ordinate a variety of tasks in a clear and logical way and meet agreed deadlines o Having sound communication and interpersonal skills o Having a high level of literacy and numeracy skills in order to maintain accurate records and compile written reports o Good understanding of Ofsted regulatory requirements o Knowledge and understanding of Child Protection and the Children's Act 1989
