KS2 Teacher - Maternity Cover - Pickering Area

Part Time | Until Spring 2026 | Warm, welcoming village school

We're looking for a KS2 Teacher to join a lovely school near Pickering on a part-time basis, covering a maternity leave until spring.

This is a well-run, friendly setting with a strong staff team and supportive leadership. The class is settled and engaged, and the school is ready to welcome someone who can slot in, build great relationships, and deliver high-quality, consistent teaching a few days a week.

You'll be part of a calm, purposeful environment where planning is collaborative and expectations are realistic.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment Support children's academic, emotional and social development Work closely with the wider staff team and contribute to planning where needed Provide regular feedback to pupils and communicate with parents/carers as required Maintain strong behaviour routines and ensure children feel safe, valued and supported

? What you'll need

:

QTS and experience teaching in Key Stage 2 A kind, professional approach and strong behaviour management The ability to work as part of a team and keep things consistent A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
