Kickboxing instructor

We are looking for a kickboxing coach for our kids and adults classes. We would like a candidate who understands and is passionate about kickboxing or another relevant martial art, is safety conscious and able to deliver high quality classes with confidence.

We are looking to take the club to the next level, delivering bigger and better classes to our existing community and beyond. You would be an important part of our processes delivering classes to members, and helping with the recruitment of new starters.

You would also have a role in the coaching of others who are on the instructor pathway program. Upskilling and nurturing volunteers and class assistants to learn and build confidence in teaching.

The ideal candidate should be:

Adaptable and willing to learn our system and styles as well as integrating their own. Experienced in the practice and teaching of kickboxing or another relevant martial art. Able to teach with respect and discipline. Confident to work on their own and able to work as part of a team, helping to nurture and guide volunteers and assistants as well as working with other instructors. Willing to put in effort and hard work with each individual to help their development.

Roles:

General teaching and coaching in classes. Helping build community in the club on and off the mats. Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. Supervision and safety in classes for children and adults.

Requirements:

Valid DBS check. First aid certification. Experience in kickboxing or another relevant martial art. Able to go to and from class locations.
Part time: starting from 16 per hour, and increasing as the club grows.

7.5 - 16 hours per week, starting with a trial period and building hours.
