Do you love working with kids, leading teams, and bringing energy, creativity, and structure to a buzzing kids ministry? We're looking for a Kids Church Team Leader with a big heart for children and their families, a knack for organisation, and a passion for helping young ones grow in their faith in fun, engaging ways.
The Role:
This is your chance to lead and shape our vibrant Sunday kids ministry! You'll be the engine behind all things Kids Church -- from planning and running Sunday sessions to organising team rotas, preparing content, and keeping everything running smoothly (with the odd glitter explosion along the way).
There's an option for either part-time or full-time, depending on what suits you best:
Part-time structure: (15-20 hours per week):
Sundays - 5 hrs (mornings)
Tuesdays - 5 hrs (team & planning time)
5 or 10 flexible hours (admin, prep, etc.)
For the right candidate, this role could be combined with other church responsibilities to make a full-time position.
The Essentials:
Have a genuine love for children and a heart to see them thrive in faith and life
Have experience working with children or in a similar ministry role
Can build, support, and lead a team of fab volunteers
Are super organised -- rotas, planning, communication, and keeping records are your thing
Have decent IT skills -- nothing fancy, just confident with emails, documents, church systems, and planning calendars
Understand safeguarding and are committed to making Kids Church a safe, welcoming space
Have experience with (or are ready to learn) DBS processes for both yourself and the team
You'll be doing things like:
Overseeing our Sunday kids groups -- making it the best hour of a child's week!
Recruiting, training, and cheering on our amazing volunteers
Planning faith-filled, fun, and snack-filled sessions
Communicating with parents, staff, and church leaders
Ensuring all safeguarding policies are followed to the letter
Bonus points if you:
Have relevant qualifications working with children
Can think on your feet (because kids ask WILD questions!)
Bring fresh ideas and aren't afraid to try new things
