About the Role
As part of our catering team, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the home and delivering an exceptional dining experience for our residents. Supported by our chef, you will help prepare high-quality meals tailored to individual tastes and dietary needs, while maintaining a spotless kitchen environment and completing tasks to the highest standard.
In addition to your kitchen responsibilities, you will work as a Hostess, bringing warmth and personal attention to mealtimes throughout the home. This dual role combines practical skills with a caring, people-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Assistant Duties
:
Assist the chef in preparing and serving meals to residents.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
Complete scheduled tasks and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Prepare simple meals under the guidance of the chef.
Hostess Duties:
Provide a warm welcome to residents and visitors, creating a friendly and comforting atmosphere.
Encourage social engagement during mealtimes to reduce isolation.
Offer personalized service, accommodating dietary preferences and ensuring residents feel valued.
Assist with table settings and meal presentation to enhance the dining experience.
Support residents with menus, seating, and mealtime assistance, ensuring dignity and comfort.
Collect feedback on meals and service to help improve quality.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential--full training will be provided.
Flexibility, patience, and a caring attitude.
A genuine 'people person' who enjoys interacting with others.
Ability to work alternate weekends.
Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship for this role).
