We are looking for a Bank Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Rathmena House. Shifts will be from 7.30 am - 5.30 pm, between Monday to Sunday.
In this role you will provide a catering service for the whole Home and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen.
Sponsorship is not available for this role.
Duties
Maintain high standards of efficiency and cleanliness expected
within all areas
of the kitchen.
Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are cleaned using an organised schedule of work as organised by the Cook / Assistant Cook.
Adhere to safe Handling of Food Regulations.
Assist the Cook /Assistant Cook in the preparation, cooking and serving of food to the Residents / Patients.
Ensure the Residents'/Patients' confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Ensure the Residents'/Patients' privacy, dignity and choice is respected,
Report all breakages to Cook / Assistant Cook and dispose of all breakages carefully and appropriately
Report all faulty equipment/repairs/replacements in the Maintenance book. Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Cook / Assistant or Nurse in charge.
Attend staff meetings as organised by the Home Manager.
Adhere to Safe Food Handling regulations.
For preparation and serving of food to patient under direction of Cook / Assistant Cook.
Attend all required staff training as organised by the Home Manager.
Desirable Criteria
Experience working within a hospital or Nursing Home environment
Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
