Duties

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly under the guidance of chefs and cooks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Help with the storage and inventory of food supplies, ensuring proper rotation and adherence to food safety standards. Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting in serving meals as required. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and high-quality food presentation. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology. Understanding of food safety regulations and practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. The individual must have a valid training certificate (LEVEL 2 FOOD HYGIENE)
