Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated person to complete our team as a kitchen assistant, in our 24 bedded care home. We will also require some flexibility to cover sickness and holiday leave. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, although we will train you. Small friendly team in an excellent care home.

Duties

Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen/care staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, improvements, and feedback.

Qualifications

Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations, or willingness to train. Ability to work efficiently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts as required to cover sickness and holiday.

Pay: 12.57 per hour
