NJC Spine Points 2-5 (24,413.00 - 25,583.00 FTE), Actual Salary 11,388.48 - 11,934.28

CONTRACT TYPE:

Term, Time only, 9.00 to 13.00 Monday to Friday (4 hours per day, 20 hours per week)

About the Role:



We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a high-quality food service for students, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the smooth, safe and efficient running of the school kitchen and dining areas. You will assist with food preparation, service, cleaning, and general kitchen duties, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:



Working as part of the Kitchen team to take supervision to ensure that quality food provision is delivered daily. Preparation and presentation of food and cooking of same if appropriate. Serve meals, in accordance with portion controls. Set up and clear dining and service area, including washing up, packing and unloading containers as required. Clean the kitchen and equipment to ensure standards of hygiene are maintained To use all the equipment and machinery safely and efficiently after instruction. To be available, if required, for unplanned meal preparation and serving for special and/or evening functions. Putting deliveries away correctly in line with HACCP. To contribute to the performance of the team in ensuring high standards of hygiene at all times. To attend training sessions and meetings as required. To undertake child protection and safeguarding training.
