Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for various dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring that all areas are tidy and hygienic. Help with meal preparation for events or daily service, following recipes and instructions from chefs. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure the highest quality of food is served. Support the cooking staff by performing basic cooking tasks as needed, such as boiling, frying, or baking under supervision. Assist in inventory management by helping to receive deliveries and store food items appropriately. Participate in cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces after use.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
