We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with serving as needed. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all meals are prepared in a safe and hygienic manner. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is highly desirable. Basic cooking skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for catering and culinary arts, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
