Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our caring team at St Anne's Nursing Home in Southampton. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, personalised care through excellent meal and food service. The Kitchen Assistant will contribute to maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment while assisting with meal preparation.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in accordance with dietary requirements. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area. Support the kitchen team with food safety procedures. Ensure all food is stored correctly and safely. Help with basic food preparation tasks as directed. Support the team during meal times to ensure smooth service. Follow health and safety regulations at all times. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or kitchen environments is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a team. Good communication skills. Ability to follow instructions carefully. A friendly and caring attitude towards residents and colleagues. Flexibility to support various tasks as needed. Basic food preparation skills.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
