Kitchen Assistant / Cook required
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a kitchen environment.
Dartford Golf Club is a private golf club with its own on-site kitchen team. We are looking to add to our current team. We are looking for a candidate that will fit in well with the catering team. We are offering a permanent position. 30 hours per week
Position is available for an immediate start for the right candidate.
The Club Serves food from 8am until 5pm, Monday to Sunday, there are occasional events in the evenings and weekends which you will be required to work as part of your allocated hours.
Rate of pay 20K-22K 12.60 to 14.21 Dependant on experience.
30 hours per week, with some options for overtime.

Duties
Assist in the preparation & serving of dishes to our members,
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety standards are adhered to at all times.
Support in house events by preparing food items according to specific menus and dietary requirements.
Help with the serving of meals during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery to members.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and communication within the kitchen.
Perform basic cooking tasks under supervision, gaining experience in various culinary techniques.
Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
Contribute to dish and menu development.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
A keen interest in cooking and meal preparation, with a willingness to learn new skills.
A basic understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards is highly desirable.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
