We are recruiting for the exciting role of Kitchen Assistant, who will play a key part in supporting our chefs and help keep the kitchen running efficiently.

What does the role involve?

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support the daily operations of our restaurant kitchen. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with the chefs and kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness, assist in food preparation, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced food service environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., washing, peeling, chopping vegetables). Keep the kitchen clean and organised at all times. Clean dishes, utensils, kitchen tools and equipment. Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed. Unload and store food deliveries. Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain proper recycling procedures. Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation and plating during busy periods. Restock ingredients and supplies as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations.

What skills and experience do you need?

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage but not mandatory. Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety. Food handling or hygiene certification is preferred but not essential. An enthusiasm to learn and grow in the hospitality industry. Punctual, reliable and detail orientated.

Contract:

This is a permanent, full-time role.

Salary:

From 12.61 per hour (depending on experience / qualifications)

Hours:

Weekly working hours and shift pattern to be confirmed via a rota-basis. Will include weekend working. No evening working involved!
