Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, with a primary focus on washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and keep them organised for kitchen use. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas. Assist chefs with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients. Dispose of waste safely and in line with hygiene regulations. Ensure cleaning supplies are well stocked and report any shortages. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods as required.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a kitchen or similar role is an advantage but not essential. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions. Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices (training can be provided). Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as needed.

Desirable:

Basic food hygiene certificate. Interest in developing kitchen skills and learning more about food preparation.

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 52 per week
