Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, following recipes and portion control guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support chefs in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with catering events by preparing food items as required and assisting with the setup of serving areas. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is key. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced cooks and chefs. A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere.
