We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team in a Care Home environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Kitchen Assistant , you will play a vital role in meal preparation and food preparation, ensuring that every meal meets our high standards for the needs of our individuals we care for.
Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and execution of daily meal preparation tasks.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
Clean and organize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas after use.
Must have a understanding of special dietary requirements and special diets prescribed by health professionals.
Must be willing to cover annual leave as a cook when other cooks are off .
Qualifications
Previous experience in a Care home or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends on a rota basis.
Role is for 26 hours a week over 4 days 11am-5:30pm
Will be required to assit in the kitchen as cook when cooks are on annual Leave.

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
