Job Overview


We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen management, food preparation, and team leadership. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while contributing to menu planning and execution. Your expertise in fine dining, catering, and banquet services will be essential in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities



Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food production and service. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to food safety standards. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Participate in menu planning, offering creative input for seasonal dishes and specials. Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain quality and safety. Collaborate with the culinary team to execute catering events and banquets efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations. Monitor food preparation processes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes. Manage shift schedules for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak service times.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management principles. Experience in fine dining establishments or high-volume restaurants is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with inventory control systems and menu planning processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
