We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards. Support chefs with various cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with the setup and breakdown of catering events or special functions as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service. Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the head chef.

Requirements

Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is advantageous. Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene regulations is essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and eagerness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
