We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support chefs in delivering high-quality meals. Duties

Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and equipment is properly stored. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met. Support catering events by preparing and serving food as needed. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant is preferred but not essential. Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and eagerness to learn new skills in catering and meal preparation.
