Grade 1, Scale Point 2, 23,656 pro rata (approx 12.95 per hour) Start date: Monday 3 November 2025. 15 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 11am-2.00pm. Term time only plus 5 inset days. Permanent position.
We are looking for a new Kitchen Assistant to join our lively school kitchen team to prepare and serve school meals and clean down following service. If you enjoy working in a team and helping to inspire the diets of the younger generation, we would love to hear from you.

The requirements of the role are:

1. Assist with the preparation of meals in line with safe working practices and food hygiene regulations.

2. Serve meals ensuring correct portion control and referring to allergen control procedures.

3. Hold or be willing to undertake a minimum of Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate

4. Clean kitchen equipment and dining furniture as required in designated areas.

5. Assist with the moving and setting up of dining furniture in designated areas.

6. Provide a customer focused service, which is both courteous and responsive to the needs of the customers at all times.

7. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and COSSH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations at all times.

8. Actively pursue own personal development and take full advantage of training provided.

9. Undertake such duties as may be considered appropriate by the Catering Manager in line with the needs of the service.
