We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen staff in various tasks, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils Follow food safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met Help with catering events as required, providing support during service times Serve food to customers or staff as needed, ensuring presentation meets our standards Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages

Qualifications

Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is preferred Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations Experience in catering or restaurant environments is advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning and development Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness
