We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior kitchen staff. Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required for various dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times. Support catering events by assisting with food setup and service as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals during service hours. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including catering or restaurant experience. Basic culinary skills, including cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
