We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with various tasks, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored. Support chefs during catering events by setting up and serving food as required. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen supervisor. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous. Basic cooking skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen setting. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. A passion for food and eagerness to learn new culinary techniques.
