We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

Assist chefs and cooks in the preparation of meals, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling and storage of ingredients. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods. Support with inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting in ordering supplies as needed. Participate in catering events by preparing food items according to specific requirements. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen setting. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
